Mochi Mochi ?

Tonight, I opened my pack of "MITARASHI DANGO MOCHI". There are 7 of them for 150 yen. What is it ? It is a kind of glutinous rice (very smooth) with something inside that looks like jam...very sweet but strange for western taste. It is unusual. Well, I should say that the packaging is well done (it seems to be like that for every kind of Japanese food you take away, and please notice that there are also individual packs).

To tell you the truth, these are not the best mochi I have eaten in Japan...I tasted another kind of them, in Shinjuku in a shop called Mochi Cream (but it is more expensive -100 yen for ONE Mochi-. I took a Sakura Mochi...It was freezed inside and so GOOD...

To sum it up, choose the right Mochi if you don't want to be disappointed...

It's a little funny because you have described a lot the Mitarachi dango mochi to finally conclude that this isn't very tasty. In the other side mochis in the Mochi cream shop look very tasty and you make me want to try it. Well if I see some mochi in tang frere or paris store, I will maybe want to try. :p (sry for my poor English)
